Quote of the Week
“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” Harriet Tubman, American abolitionist. This quote by Harriet Tubman is a powerful reminder that dreams start with those who dare to believe in them. It highlights the importance of inner strength, patience, and passion in achieving great things. Tubman’s words encourage us to push past obstacles, trust in our abilities, and strive to make a meaningful impact on the world. It’s an inspiring message that reminds us that no matter our circumstances, we have the power to create change.
School Counseling Week
Happy School Counseling Week! Our counselors, Ms. Espeleta and Ms. Foster, provide our students with support, guidance, and encouragement every day. Their dedication truly makes a difference, and we are so lucky to have them at our school! Students, please take a moment to say thank you to your counselor for their hard work, kindness, and the positive impact they make in our school community.

Future CEO Program
The Future CEO program is a new entrepreneurship program sponsored by the Carlsbad Chamber Community Foundation. for middle school students that introduces young students to the world of business. It will teach what it takes to be the CEO of a company, and all the steps required to run a successful business whether large or small. From creating a business plan, getting a business license, to product development, to branding and marketing, banking and finance, and customer interaction.
All sessions are live and in-person at the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce Offices on the dates/times listed. If a student has to miss a session for some reason, the session content will be available after the fact via a password-accessed webinar. (NOTE: The “sessions” are NOT recorded, but the content will be pre-recorded for the session leader for those who miss for some reason).
The program is designed to be an uplifting, educational experience that will instill confidence and inspire creativity in our youth. The highlight of the program all comes together in the Future CEO Business Day & Trade Show where the students will be allowed to showcase their business and sell the goods they have created!
