Hello! My name is Lorraine Behr-Formaz and I've been serving as the School Psychologist for the SEAS program (Social Emotional Academic Support) at both CHE and CHMS since the fall of 2015. As such, I provide individual and group counseling services to the students within the SEAS program, as well as behavioral consultation and planning, assessment, and parent support, in additional to other duties as assigned. Prior to my employment with the Carlsbad Unified School District, I was employed as a School Psychologist in Alaska and Montana and have been in this profession since 1986. I received both my undergraduate and graduate training at the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana.
"Why" do I do the work that I do? It's simple: I'm passionate about helping our students become the best version of themselves that they can possibly be. I believe in their potential and I am confident that our work with the children in our SEAS program makes a lifelong difference for them as they continue to grow and move on to high school and beyond.
