English, Math, Social Studies Skills

I am originally from Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. My partner and I live in Carlsbad and have 2 children, My daughter Arya (7) and son Kekona (4). My Special Education Teaching journey began as working as instructional aide then a teacher in the Non-Public School setting that supported students with behavioral needs. This is my 6th year teaching and going into my 3rd year in the public school setting. 
The main reason that I teach is to enable students to build skills and resiliency that will let them lead happy, independent, and fulfilled lives.
