Quote of the week

“Where flowers bloom, so does hope.” — Lady Bird Johnson
Spring reminds us that growth often begins in small, quiet ways, just like a flower starting as a tiny seed. Seeing the spring flowers in bloom reminds us to look for the positive, even when things feel challenging. When we put in effort, support one another, and stay optimistic, we create the conditions for success and happiness to grow. Just like flowers brighten the world around them, each of us has the ability to bring hope and positivity to CHMS every day.

Creating a Respectful and Inclusive School Community

At CHMS, we are committed to fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every student, staff member, and family feels valued and respected. A key part of this commitment is ensuring that the language we use reflects kindness, empathy, and respect for others.
We want to be clear that disrespectful language, including hate speech of any kind, will not be tolerated on our campus. Words have power and they can build others up or cause harm. We take these matters seriously. Incidents involving inappropriate or harmful language will be addressed promptly and may result in disciplinary action in accordance with school policies. More importantly, these situations will be used as opportunities for learning, reflection, and growth so that students understand the impact of their words and choices.
We ask for the partnership of our families in reinforcing these expectations at home. Together, we can help our students develop the character, empathy, and respect needed to be positive contributors to our school and the broader community.
Let’s continue working together to ensure our campus is a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and proud to belong.
