Quote of the week

It’s not about being the best. It’s about being better than you were yesterday.”- Unknown

As we prepare for our next ROCKIN Coyote Celebration, it is important to remember everyone learns and grows at their own pace. Let’s cheer each other on as we all work to be a little better than we were before!

Celebration Volunteers Needed!

Our first ROCKIN Coyotes Celebration was a big hit with our students. We need your help to make our next celebration on November 6 even more fun! Please sign up here if you are able to help with supervision or run an activity.

Halloween is Friday, Oct. 31 🎃

We want to encourage all of our Coyotes to have a safe and fun Halloween on Friday. Costumes are allowed as long as they follow the established guidelines for appropriate Halloween attire at school.
Happy Halloween!

ROCKIN Coyote Celebration

We are looking forward to our second ROCKIN’ Coyote Celebration on November 6. Remember, students must clear all zeros by October 31 to be eligible. Students who are not attending the celebration will receive extra support from their advisory teacher during that time to complete missing assignments.

Chick Fil A Fundraiser

Come join the community for food and fun on Wednesday, November 12 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm. 20% of tonight’s sales will be donated accordingly to Calavera Hills Middle School.
When ordering with a team member, make sure to let them know you’re here for the fundraiser. Mobile orders can opt in with the
code FUNDRAISER.

Learning Lab

  • After School Learning Lab will not be available during the week of Parent Teacher Conferences 10/20-10/24
  • The CHMS Learning Lab is voluntary and open to all students. Students may choose to take part in our Learning Lab on days that it is helpful and choose to not participate on days that it does not meet their learning needs.
  • While the CHMS Learning Lab is optional, we will take role each day. This way, we will know who is taking advantage of this service and parents can require their own children to participate. Parents will receive daily emails of confirmation of their child’s attendance.
  • Students are expected to behave in such a way that does not make it difficult for other students to take advantage of this program.

Star Program!

STAR Program!
At CHMS, the PTSA organizes a monthly gifting program for teachers and staff to show them how much they are appreciated - the STAR program!
Please consider volunteering to support our teachers and staff members this year by providing a small gift to show them our appreciation for all they do. There are two ways you can support this program this year:

1) Sign up to "adopt" a teacher/staff member by getting them a small gift and dropping it off each month in the office for it to be delivered.

2) Make a donation toward the STAR program and let PTSA coordinate gifting to ensure each teacher/staff member is covered and cared for.

Thank you so much for your involvement!

CHMS Teacher / Staff Wish List
