“The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.”
Phil Jackson
At CHMS, we succeed when we support one another. Just like on a team, everyone’s effort and spirit make our community a better place.

6th Grade Camp: Oct 6-10

Please be aware that parking will be at a premium on Monday morning because our 6th grade campers will be leaving for camp at 8:30 am. Please be mindful of possibly distracted students (and parents!) in the parking lot before school. Please avoid blocking the areas that have cones for the camp bound busses.
Check in for sixth grade families will begin in the gym at 7:30 am.
All 6th grade students who are NOT attending camp will report to PE for period 1.
Looking forward to a great week!

Community Resource Fair

Thank you to everyone who attended our Community Resource Fair. We are so grateful to our families, community partners, and students for making our first annual event such a success. We look forward to future community events!

Star Program!

STAR Program!
At CHMS, the PTSA organizes a monthly gifting program for teachers and staff to show them how much they are appreciated - the STAR program!
Please consider volunteering to support our teachers and staff members this year by providing a small gift to show them our appreciation for all they do. There are two ways you can support this program this year:

1) Sign up to "adopt" a teacher/staff member by getting them a small gift and dropping it off each month in the office for it to be delivered.

2) Make a donation toward the STAR program and let PTSA coordinate gifting to ensure each teacher/staff member is covered and cared for.

Thank you so much for your involvement!

CHMS Teacher / Staff Wish List!

Looking to support our classroom teachers and our staff by getting them exactly what they want? Check out their Amazon wish list here! Items will be delivered directly to school for their intended recipients.

Follow PTSA on Instagram for updates on events and volunteer opportunities!

learning lab

Learning Lab

  • The CHMS Learning Lab is voluntary and open to all students. Students may choose to take part in our Learning Lab on days that it is helpful and choose to not participate on days that it does not meet their learning needs.
  • While the CHMS Learning Lab is optional, we will take role each day. This way, we will know who is taking advantage of this service and parents can require their own children to participate. Parents will receive daily emails of confirmation of their child’s attendance.
  • Students are expected to behave in such a way that does not make it difficult for other students to take advantage of this program.

CHMS Cell Phone Policy

Students must have all mobile communication devices turned off and kept out to sight during the school day, both in and out of the classroom. This policy begins from the time students enter campus until they exit campus at the end of the day. If a student need to contact a parent during the school day, they may come to the office for assistance.
We ask you to please review these policies with your student(s) to ensure that they understand expectations at CHMS. Additional information can be found on the CUSD website Teachers and administrators will review these policies with students as the year begins. Thank you for your support in helping us to maximize student learning!
