Quote of the Week

“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” - A.A. Milne.   This quote from Winnie the Pooh is a beautiful reminder of the inner strength and potential within us all. We should remind our students that even when we doubt ourselves we carry within us more courage, strength, and wisdom than we know.

Winter Spirit Week- 12/16-12/20

Spirit week starts this week!  Get ready to show off your school spirit and Dress to Impress with some wild, wacky, and wonderful outfits.  Check out the theme for each day of the week.

Honor Roll Information

As we enter the final grading period of the first semester, we want to remind you of the criteria for students to earn a spot on the Honor Roll at the end of the semester. It is important that both you and your child are aware of these requirements, as there is still time to work toward this achievement:

1. **A GPA of 3.5 or higher**: Students must maintain an average of A's and B's across all of their classes. This GPA is based on their performance throughout the semester, so it’s crucial that students stay focused and continue to put in their best effort.

2. **No "N" (Needs Improvement) in Citizenship**: Citizenship grades reflect how well students demonstrate responsibility, respect, and positive behavior in the classroom. To make the Honor Roll, students must have no "N" in this area. Positive engagement and a good attitude are key to meeting this criterion.

With the semester coming to a close, we encourage students to stay on top of their assignments, seek help when needed, and maintain a strong commitment to their behavior and participation in class. Remember, students can attend Learning Lab from 7:45-8:15 Mondays-Thursdays. It’s never too late to make a positive change! Thank you for supporting your child’s academic journey.

EBike Permits and Renewals

Proof of the safety course completion certificate needs to be turned into the front office.  Students who do not complete the approved course will not be permitted to ride their bike to school until the safety course is completed.

CUSD requires all students who ride to and from school to obtain a permit for their bike, and to renew their permit annually. This includes permits for both acoustic and electric bikes. Students can attend the CUSD approved online course in lieu of an in-person course due to capacity.  Please follow the CHP Approved Course Link for the online safety course.

Please note permit renewals do not receive new stickers.  The completion date of the renewal course is recorded for CHM records once the completion certificate is turned into the office.

Coyote Parent Crew

We are looking for Parent Volunteers at lunchtime each day.  Our hope is to offer students a variety of activities to participate in each day during their lunchtime.  If you have some flexibility in your day and are interested in coming on campus to work with our students, please fill out this form.  If you are unavailable during the school day to come to campus, but still want to support students, we are also in need of donations/prizes for students.  Sign up Here

Shadowcats is a student-led program where eighth-grade students can experience Sage Creek High School firsthand. They will spend part of their day on campus “shadowing” our current students. Eighth-grade students will shadow Bobcats throughout their 2nd period, 3rd period, and lunch. The entire ShadowCat day will last from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm on January 9th.

For those who have signed up, we are so excited to see you on campus!
