Hello and welcome to 6th grade English! My name is David Delaney and I am excited to continue teaching 6th graders in the English department as this will be my 21st year teaching (all in middle school). I am a graduate of Chico State where I received both my bachelor's degree and teaching credential. As a former AVID teacher, I find my greatest joy as a teacher is hearing about the post high school choices our students make - because of this, college and career readiness is something I think about constantly with our 6th graders.
At home, I enjoy spending time with my family and stay busy shuttling/chasing my three daughters around through their various activities. With any left over time, I find joy in yelling at my tv as I suffer through yet another season of cheering on the Padres...maybe next year will be the one!
